Limu Omani also known as Persian Limes are essentially small limes that have been boiled in salt brine and left to dry in the sun. These limes are a staple of Iranian cooking and are used whole, sliced or ground, as a spice in middle eastern dishes. Whether whole or ground, a little dried lime goes a long way. For most dishes, you'll need only one or two as they are quite potent, and they have a long shelf life, so there's no need to use them all right away.

USimplySeason® Persian Limes have an earthy, sour, citrusy like slightly bitter, fermented flavor.
