Suggested Use
Shells with Creamy Walnut Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup walnuts
- 3 tbsp. jovial Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp. parsley, minced
- 1 tsp. fresh marjoram, minced
- 1/2 tsp. fine sea salt
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 34 cup grated Parmigiano Reggiano
- 12 oz. jovial Shells
Cooking Time:
- 12 Minutes
- Bring 3 quarts of water to a rolling boil.
- Add salt as desired.
- Cook pasta on high heat, stirring frequently.
- Test for doneness and drain.
- Add walnuts, olive oil, garlic, parsley, marjoram, salt, and red pepper to a food processor and process until finely chopped.
- Add heavy cream and cheese and process until smooth.
- Cook pasta according to cooking instructions below. Remove 3 tablespoons of pasta cooking water and stir into the walnut sauce before draining the pasta.
- Toss pasta with sauce, add grated cheese, and serve.
