Suggested Use

Stovetop Cooking Instructions

This product is raw and must be cooked in order to enjoy its delicious flavor.

  1. Using a fine mesh sieve, thoroughly rinse 1 cup of rice under cold water for 1-2 minutes and drain. 
  2. Combine rice, 1 3/4 cup water or broth*, and 1 Tbsp. butter or oil (optional) in a 2 qt. saucepan and bring to a boil. 
  3. Cover with a tight-fitting lid. Reduce heat to maintain a low simmer and cook for 35 minutes. 
  4. With lid on, remove from heat and let steam for 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork and enjoy. 

Tip: If rice is too firm at the end of cooking, add 1-2 Tbsp. liquid* and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes. 

Rice cooker: To prepare in a rice cooker, use the same rice to liquid* ratio as stovetop instructions. 

Refrigeration recommended for extended shelf life.
