Origin Japan

The art of Sencha, which translates to 'steeped tea', was introduced to Japan in the 17th century by monks and intellectuals. Grown in the approximate center of Japan, Sencha's taste varies based upon the season, elevation and method of steaming the leaves. 

Flavor Profile 

Deep jade green color brew with a rich, sweet taste, oceanic aroma, with buttery texture. Green tea is known to contain high amounts of anti-oxidants.

Like the Tao, the art of tea is universal. We began our work with tea and herbs in 1997 with the intention of being a connecting thread for tea culture. We are a group of tea enthusiasts from different backgrounds and cultures, and we practice the art of tea on a daily basis in our teahouses in Portland, Oregon.
