SheaMoisture is the legacy of a pioneering mother of four and entrepreneur, who sold Shea Butter, African Black Soap and homemade beauty preparations in Sierra Leone in 1912. We honor her vision by continuing to formulate with Shea Butter handcrafted by women in West Africa.

Our 92% naturally derived formula is made from ingredients that keep over half of their original structure, from plants, mineral or fermented sources, while plant-based ingredients are specifically derived from plants.
