How It Works: Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA) is a fatty acid that is naturally found in Borage Oil. Although GLA can be produced in the body, it can be more easily utilized when supplied directly through dietary sources. Through its role in normal immune system function, GLA helps to maintain the integrity of the skin barrier and supports a healthy vascular system. Furthermore, GLA has been shown to be important for lung, joint, and eye health. Research has determined that Borage Oil does not contain harmful levels of Pyrrolizidine Alkaloids (PAs). The Borage Oil in this product is expeller-pressed and hexane-free.
