Chitosan is an insoluble or non-digestible fiber. Marine-sourced chitosan is produced from chitin, which is part of the shells of crustaceans including shrimp, crabs, and lobsters.
- Digestive Support: Some studies suggest that a diet rich in fiber can help reduce the transit time of foods in the digestive system, leaving less time for fat to be available for absorption.
- No Additional Calories: Where Chitosan cannot be digested, there is no caloric value, making it a beneficial tool for a healthy lifestyle.
- Lifestyle Management Support: When taken before meals, Chitosan can be used as a functional fiber that may help provide nutritive support for healthy lifestyle management.
